Sister M. Ethel Widhalm aka Sister M. Beatine Widhalm. Ethel was number eleven of fourteen children born to the union of Jacob and Katherine Zuerlein Widhalm. She entered the O.S.F. Convent in Lafayette, IN on 16 Jan 1938. She completed her high school education at a local high school. She received her Religious Name - Sister M. Beatine on 3 Oct 1940. Ethel completed her four year course of study with a BA in Education on 1 Jun 1944. She had teaching assignments in Nebraska and Colorado. She celebrated her 50th Anniversary at the Mother House in Colorado Springs, CO on 12 Aug 1988 and she celebrated her 75th Anniversary at the Mother House on 23 Jun 2013. She was an organist for many years.
