Mrs. Mary Barbour Wallace, 93, widow of the headmaster of old Wallace university school for boys, died yesterday in a Monteagle, Tenn., nursing home after a long illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at Finley Dorris & Charlton funeral home, 2423 West End Ave. Dr. Walter R. Courtenay will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.

Mrs. Wallace, who lived at 2214 State St., had been in the nursing home for the past two years.

She came to Nashville after her marriage in 1889 from her native Culpeper, Va. She was a daughter of James and Fanny Beckham Barbour. Her father was a major in the Confederate Army.

She was active in several organizations here during the 64 years her husband conducted one of the South's most famous schools for boys. He died in 1950.

Mrs. Wallace was a founder and first treasurer of the Vanderbilt Aid society and a charter member of the Tennessee society of Colonial Dames. She was one of the founders and a member of the board of Centennial Club. She was an active member of First Presbyterian Church and was Sunday School president there for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Miss Ellen Barbour Wallace, Nashville.
