Kenneth G. Molloy, 50, 1215 East 24th St., died at 1:10 a.m. Sunday at St. John’s Regional Medical Center following a long illness.
Mr. Molloy was born Sept. 12, 1935, at Galena, Kan. He moved to Joplin 20 years ago from Galena. He worked as a senior highway designer for the Missouri Highway Department for 31 years. He was a member of the Sixth Street Baptist Church, Galena, and the Galena Elks Lodge.
He married Beverly A. Cagle Oct. 8, 1955, at Galena. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Tony Molloy, Joplin, and James R. Molloy, of the home; a daughter, Nancy E. Molloy, of the home; his mother, Mildred Russell, Galena; a stepbrother, Paul Russell, state of Missouri; two stepsisters, Neva Jones, Galena, and Dorothy Piha, Bentonville, Ark.; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday
at Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena. The Rev. Verne Kenney will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena. Graveside rites will be conducted by the Elks Club.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Largent, Louis Sage, Glen Rhoads, Charles Meisner, Ron Wilson and John Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
