RESIDENT OF CHEROKEE COUNTY SINCE 1869 DIES
Galena, Kan., Nov. 16.—Funeral services for Charles William Binderim, 76 years old, farmer and resident of Cherokee county for more than fifty years, who died at 8:30 o’clock this morning at his home on Shoal Creek, south of Galena, will be held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Christian church, with the Rev. Miles C. Cook, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa., January 21, 1852, Mr. Binderim came to Cherokee county in 1869. Mr. Binderim engaged in truck gardening on his farm, two and a half miles south of Galena, for many years. He had been ill for some time and had been bedfast for the last four months.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clara Binderim; four sons, Alexander Binderim of Galena, William Binderim, who resides near Playter; George Binderim of Omaha and Elmer Binderim of Chetopa; three daughters, Mrs. James Myers (sic) [Myres] of Quapaw, Okla., Mrs. Laura Meloy of Joplin and Mrs. Irene Brash of Baxter Springs; a foster son, Charles Dudley Binderim (sic) [He was not a Binderim] at home, and eleven grandchildren.
