Atlanta Constitution - 9/11/1914 - Fairburn, Ga - September 10 - Benjamin Alston Camp, aged 86 years, died Wednesday night at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. L. M. Westbrook, on Main Street. Mr. Camp was one of Campbell county's oldest and most respected citizens. During the civil war he was in the service of the Confederacy as a tanner. He was for many years justice of the peace, member of the Baptist church and of the Masonic fraternity. He is survived by three sons, William Camp of Douglasville, Morgan and Augustus Camp of Fairburn and two daughters, Mrs. Annie Westbrook of Fairburn and Mrs. Emma Bagwell of Villa Rica and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Charles J. Short at Providence church, Friday at 11 am and he will be buried with Masonic honors in the church yard, by Campbellton Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons.
