Burial will be in the City of Levelland Cemetery under the direction of George C. Price Funeral Directors.
He died Tuesday, July 25, 2000, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 24, 1926, in Mill Creek, Okla. He moved to Andrews in 1952 and then to Shallowater in 1975. He moved to Levelland in 1979.
He graduated from Rice High School in 1945. He attended Navarro Junior College. He graduated from Murray College in Tishomingo, Okla., in 1950. He then attended Oklahoma State University from 1950 until 1951.
He married Toloah Taylor on July 23, 1949, in Sherman. She died on Oct. 1, 1983. He married Jodie Barnes on June 28, 1986, in Levelland.
He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Second Baptist Church and had served as a deacon.
