Reinhart Wiesjahn Succumbs Early Today in Hospital
KOUTS, Feb. 22.--Reinhart Emil Wiesjahn, 76, of RFD 2, Kouts, died at 2 a.m. today in Porter Memorial hospital, Valparaiso, after an illness of one month.
The decedent was born in Germany Aug. 5, 1874, a son of Christof and Augusta (Rosenberg) Wiesjahn, and came to the United States in 1892. He had resided in the Kouts vicinity for 59 years. For many years he was engaged in farming.
In 1932 in Kouts, he married Adeline Arndt, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. George Young, Kouts, and Mrs. Ella Menoske, Roger, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Menne, Calumet City, Ill.; Mrs. Ida Marks, La Porte and Mrs. Olga Plucinski, East Chicago, and three brothers, Gust, Chicago; Paul, Kouts, and Otto, Wanatah. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran church, Kouts.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Kosanke Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Walter Schwane officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery, Kouts.
Friends may call after 7:30 p.m. Friday and until time of services Saturday.
