Fannie Henderson was born in Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. She was the oldest child of Alexander Martin Henderson and Malinda C. Wimbish. She moved to Mississippi with her family when she was eight years old. She married Joseph Gardner in 1869. They had six children. A widow, she then married Robert White Gray 27 February, 1889. They had one child, Linnie Leigh Gray. After divorcing Robert W Gray, Fannie married George Washington Leslie in 1903. After his death in 1907, Fannie married Ransom Gulley in 1913. Fannie died as a widow in 1924.
