Karen Melissa Austin-Clayton passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 29th, 2016. A Hendersonville native, loving Mother, sister, and friend to many, she truly will be missed
She enjoyed spending time at the local libraries studying genealogy and expanding her mind. Also an active outdoorsman along with her partner in crime, Brian Kirkland, they enjoyed hunting, fishing, and nature all around. If you couldn’t find her in the library or woods she was probably in her spectacular garden, with her over-active green thumb! She truly was a hippy at heart. She loved mother nature, the earth and old folklore and used it almost daily. Karen also had a remarkable knack for making jewelry, which she enjoyed giving to her family and friends.
