Earnest Wayne “Earnie” Collins, 73, of Trent, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 27, 2020 at Elmwood Memorial Park with Clark Collins IV officiating.

Services are under the direction of The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road.

Earnie was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Clark Collins Jr. and Margaret (Williams) Collins on Thursday, November 21, 1946.

He worked in the maintenance department for the Abilene State Supported Living Center until his retirement.

He was a Baptist.

Earnie was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Clark Collins III; and his son, Robert A. Collins.

Earnie is survived by his daughter, Donna Collins of San Antonio; two sisters, Sharron Collins White and Yvonne Collins Livingston both of Muenster; nephews, Clark Collins IV and wife Ami, John Jeremy Collins and wife Robin all of Conroe, Jimmy Brandon White of Ranger; niece, Amy LeAnn Grimes aka “Bubba” and husband Michael of Bolivar; multiple great nephews and a host of loving cousins; his longtime friend and caregiver, Mia Coffey and daughter Lacy; and his two faithful furbabies, Tye and Teeter.
