When Rudolph arrived in Vietnam 17 December 1967, he was assigned to India Company, 3rd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. Rudolph died as a result of hostile small arms during a convoy ambush.
Survived by his wife, Catherine E Bielek of McKeesport, PA and his parents; Rudolph J and Helen M Bielek Sr of North Braddock, PA.
