Son of Ray E and Beth Maurine Moody Brown. He grew up in Hinckley, where he attended elementary school. He graduated from Delta High School in 1988. He attended Delta Technical School ,where he studied Computer Aided Drafting, and Dixie College in St. George, earning his Associates of Arts Degree. He began working at Mid-State Consultants in Nephi, UT. He was active in the Nephi Lion’s Club. He joined the Nephi Fire Department on December 1, 1991, and served as the department secretary. He was still an active member at the time of his passing, after 30 years of service. He was an accomplished oil painter, with him many awards and recognition. His artwork has been displayed at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, greeting cards, the Hercules missile plant and on the walls of family and friends. He was honored with the “Rebel Award” from Dixie College, and was honored with the “We Believe in Heroes” award in 1988 at Disney World with his family. In 2000, he received the “Golden Key Award” from Governor Mike Leavitt, and was honored as a 2002 Olympic Torchbearer. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings, RaeLene (Rick) Kay of Nephi, Donald (Valerie) Brown of Hinckley, Lori Brown of Fruitland, and Gary Brown of Clinton.
