All sympathize with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cook in the loss of their child. The little one was drowned in Grouse Creek Saturday. Mrs. Cook and her brother Bob Ward were crossing while the creek was very high and the buggy upset. Bob wore rubber boots and these filling with water made swimming almost impossible but by a brave effort succeeded in saving his sister's life but could not save the child too. The remains were buried in the Mt Vernon cemetery Sunday.
