Obituary.

Ruth Anna Parr was born in Salem, Indiana, July 14, 1840, and passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.C. Horstman, Monday afternoon, Sept. 25th.

She was united by marriage to Robert A. Mead in January 1861. To this union seven children were born, Loretta Mummah, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Lucinda Beard, Sycamore, Kans.; Otha Haskell and Arra Horstman of Fredonia remain.

For some years she has made her home with Mrs. Walter Horstman of this city and has remained active in the church and community interests. At the age of 13 she united with the Church of Christ. She and her husband were among the eight charter members of the Church of Christ at Fredonia. They were also charter members of the Church of Christ at Lansing, Kansas.

Her husband died January 15, 1907. Two of her sisters are living. One in Pleasantville, Iowa and one in Terra Haute, Indiana.

The funeral services were conducted from the Horstman residence Tuesday by her pastor.
