Syntha Dye DRESDEN Syntha Ann (Barr) Dye, 88, of Dresden, passed away at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Morrison House Hospice. Mrs. Dye was born Jan. 31, 1914, in Smithville, W.Va. She retired from the Good Samaritan Medical Center housekeeping department in 1979, and was Methodist by faith. Surviving are two sons, Ray (Darlene) Dye and David (Debbie) Dye of Utica; two grandsons, four great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren, and two sisters, Lona Maze and Zetta Hupp, both of Parkersburg, W.Va. Mrs. Dye was preceded in death by her parents, Freeman G. and Minnie Belle (Adams) Barr; two sisters, Pauline Stephens and Hazel Maurshak; and four brothers, Glenn, Edward, Harry and Wilbur Barr. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to the 2 p.m. service Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at the Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home in Dresden. Pastor John Earhart will officiate. Burial will follow at Norwich Methodist Cemetery
