A Good Soldier and Citizen Dead
Edward Anderson died at his home at Anderson Post Office on Friday aged about 65 years, and was buried yesterday at Shutterlee's Mill. He was a brother of Perry and James Anderson, and leaves a family. Mr. Anderson was a good citizen and a good soldier of the civil war.

ANDERSON -August 18, 1899, north of Staunton, from gangrene, Edward M. Anderson, aged about 60. He left a family and two brothers, A. Perry Anderson and Jas. A. Anderson. He was a brave Confederate soldier and his death is due to a bullet carried in his body since he received it in the Civil War.
