Alice Hart Blevins was born in Baxter Co., Arkansas to John Russell Blevins & Louisa Josephine "Josie" Parks. Her parents were some of the first homesteaders into the Baxter County area of Arkansas, they had migrated from Tennessee & Georgia respectively & Alice grew up there in Baxter Co., as did her future husband Robert F. Denton. Alice & "Frank" were married on August 18, 1907. evidently soon after that they moved to Itasca, TX to farm there. Their first child, William Earl was born there. for one reason or another, they moved back to baxter Co. where their 1st daughter, Geneva Katherine was born. Three more children were born to them in Arkansas before they moved to Trinidad, Henderson Co., TX where next 5 children were all born. They then moved to Brownfield, Terry Co., TX before the last of the children were grown up enough to leave home. After having several jobs in Brownfield, 'Frank' bought the Brownfield Courts on the Lubbock Hwy. at the intersection where the Tahoka Hwy. came into Brownfield. That's where I first remember them when my parents & I were on our way to Los Alamos, NM in 1944.

Grandma died in the State Hospital @ Big Spring, TX.
She was in the hospital for several years before she died.
Supposedly she had "hardening of the arteries", which was probably Alzheimers.

Frank & Alice had a total of 10 (ten) children,
NOT 8 children as Ancestry.com says...
