Cameron Herald, Thursday, January 31, 1946: Funeral services for Robert Bullock Sat.: Funeral services for Robert Bullock, 76, farmer who took his own life Thursday, January 24, 1946 in the Sandy Ridge community, were held Saturday in Rogers. Mr. Bullock's body was found around 4pm Thursday on his ranch near the Sandy Ridge school and officers here were notified. Justice of the Peace Womack Brashear rendered the verdict of suicide. Bullock had left his house to see about some livestock. He had taken a shot gun with him. The gun was found near the body and a stick had been used to press the trigger while Bullock held the gun to his heart. The body was thrown backward over a box on which Bullock had sat before taking his life. Surviving are his widow and one step-son Homer Gamble of Houston, two brothers, J. C. Bullock of California, and L.B. Bullock of Rogers, Two sisters also survive, Mrs. I.P. Bradley of Houston and Mrs. Benida Flippo of Rogers.
