William Adolphus Eichelberger is the son of John Eickelberger (1762-1854, York County, PA) and Sarah Dinkle Eickelberger (1765 - 31 Dec 1824, York Co., PA). William was christened on 14 Jan 1813 at Christ Lutheran Church in York, York County, Pennsylvania. He and Temperance Wilson were married in Milam, Texas in 1846.
