Janet Faye Brewer Grice, died November 17, 2020 at her home in Delco, NC. She was the wife to Jimmy Grice who proceeded her in passing in 2015. They were married for 50 years. She was born on May 24, 1949 in Emporia, Virginia to William Lunsford and Mary Edith Brewer. She was loved by her children Stan (Tammy) and Angie (WC). She was known by Nanny by her 15 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

One of her most treasured times was cooking Thursday night supper surrounded by family. She was loved by so many people. She was a Godly lady who lived the example of a virtuous woman shown in Proverbs 31. She was always dressed exquisitely and carried herself with such class. She touched many lives and was a great role model while teaching Sunday school and children’s church.

In addition to her children and mother, she is survived by grandchildren Nick Phelps (Brook), Tim Phelps, Sarah Grice, Danielle Little, Eddie Jacobs (Samantha), Jordan Little, Adam Jacobs (Alexis), and honorary grandchild Carter Bigford, great grandchildren; Gavyn Phelps, Memphis Phelps, Brennen Little, Jase Jacobs, Anna Jacobs, Emma Jacobs, Levi Little, and Greyson Little, sisters, Tina Bordeaux and Jean McDowell, brothers, Mark Brewer (Joann). Eric Brewer (Donna), and Keith Brewer, sister-in-law’s Linda Goff (Lee) and Paula Bracey (Mike), and brother-in-law Phill Grice (Audrey), as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Janice Carroll and the Lower Cape Fear Hospice nurses, Megan Cartrette and Candace Butler.

A service will be held at 11am on Saturday November 21, 2020, at Prosper Baptist Church, 6595 Livingston Chapel Road, Delco, NC. Interment will follow at Ellis-Peterson Cemetery.
