Anna Mae Albright, 91, Roaring Spring, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Roaring Spring, the daughter of the late Ross Herbert and Margaret Elizabeth (Walter) Decker. She married Charles R. “Red” Albright on Oct. 20, 1945, and he died Nov. 26, 1990.

She is survived by six children: C. David Albright and wife, Susan, of Williamsburg, Donald R. “Pickle” Albright and wife, Lu Ann, of East Freedom, Linda A. Getty and husband, Earl, of Altoona, Daniel R. Albright and wife, Sandra, of Enola, John L. Albright of Roaring Spring, and Troy P. Albright and wife, Brenda, of Williamsburg; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Ross Decker, Jr. and wife, Carrie, of Roaring Spring.

He was preceded in death by three brothers: John, Herbert and Calvin.

Anna Mae was a member of the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church where she had taught Sunday school and was a member of the ladies aid. She was previously employed as a housekeeper at the Sheraton, Altoona. She loved spending time with her family, especially nurturing her grandchildren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family by Pastor Elsie Gonsman. Interment will be made in East Sharpsburg Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anna Mae’s memory may be given to the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church, 235 Main St., Roaring Spring, PA 16673. Arrangements are by the Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring.
