Dean W. Dinsmoore, of Austin, Texas, passed away Oct. 18, 2016 as a result of brain cancer. Born Sept. 11, 1944 in Midland, Mich., graduated in 1962 from Midland High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1965. Dean enjoyed painting painting; he was an unique, talented, independent, proud man. He leaves us with his final words from the song, "I did it my way."

Dean is survived by his daughter, Deanna (Lief) Hanson; and grandsons, Dakota and Noah of Colorado; his brothers James of Saginaw; Jac and twin sister, Diane Ventengle of Freeland; sister-in-law, Tina Dinsmoore of North Carolina; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by his son, Patrick; parents, Alice and Mack Dinsmoore; brother, Robert (Zip); sisters-in-law, Jolane and Barbara Dinsmoore.

Dean and his family are eternally grateful to James Blasy of San Diego for going to Austin and taking care of Dean's needs for the last two months of his life and being with him when he passed.

Thank you, Jim, for the love, compassion and time you spent with Dean. The Dinsmoore family.
