Raymond Robbins, 74, of Cleveland, departed this life on Monday November 16, 2020 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center. Born in Eastern Kentucky, he had spent a majority of his life in the Pontiac, Michigan area where he was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. After retirement, he moved to Bradley County in 1992 and was a member of Kinser Road Church of God. He was an avid Elvis fan, and enjoyed woodworking, electrical work and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death his parents, Leonard and Martha Robbins; grandson, Nicholas M. Jones; great-grandson, Nicholas C. Jones; and eight siblings.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Billie Jo Robbins,; son, Roy (Kristy) Robbins of Columbiaville, Michigan; daughter, Brenda(Daniel)Swafford of Charleston; sister, Gladys Barrett of Calhoun, Georgia ; and brother Charles D .Robbins of Michigan. Eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 P.M. Friday, November 20, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Guinn Green officiating
There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home.
