Abram F. Van Vranken, 83, was a graduate of Cohoes High School and Cobleskill Agricultural College. While in high school, he played basketball and was chosen All-State Guard of 1929. He had also participated in other high school sports. He was a self-employed dairy farmer all of his life. He was a member of the United Church of Cohoes. He was also an avid bowler and member of the Cohoes Businessmen's Bowling League.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte O'Leary Van Vranken; two sons...; a daughter...; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
