WILLIAM BELLER, 85, DEAD AT JOPLIN, MO.

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred H. Steinel, 170 Oaklawn avenue, received word this morning of the death of Mrs. Steinel’s father, William Beller, 85, which occurred Wednesday evening at 11 o’clock at his home in Joplin, Mo. Mr. Beller spent the summer with Mr. and Mrs. Steinel at their summer home at Oaklawn beach, Gull lake, where he was joined by three of his seven daughters, Mrs. Harry Hansard and Miss Freda Beller of Los Angeles, Cal. and Mrs. C. L. Chickering of Joplin. He accompanied Mrs. Chickering back to his Missouri home.

Four sons. Rodney, 144 South Thirtieth, Alfred. 170 Oaklawn, Roscoe, Miami, Fla., and Raymond, Joplin, and three other daughters, Mrs. June Kibler, Galena, Kan., Mrs. Walter Turner, Long Beach, Cal., and Mrs. Ann Palmer, Miami, Fla., survive.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2 p. m. from the home and burial will be in Galena, Kan., beside his wife.

PIONEER RESIDENT, DIES

William (Billy) Beller
, 85 years old, pioneer Joplin resident, died at 11 o’clock last night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. June [Elizabeth] Kibler, 511 East Fifth street, Galena. He had been ill since last April, and had returned to this district six weeks ago from Battle Creek, Mich., where he had visited another daughter, Mrs. A. H. Speinel.

Beller, who formerly was in the saloon business in Joplin, retired twenty-four years ago. His wife, Mrs. Margaret Beller, died in 1912.

Surviving, besides the two daughters, are five other daughters, Mrs. Theresa Chickering of Royal Heights, Mrs. Ann Palmer of Miami, Fla., Mrs. W. A. Turner of Santa Maria, Calif., Mrs. Harry Hansard of Long Beach, Calif., and Miss Freda Beller of Long Beach; four sons, Roscoe William Beller of Miami, Fla., Ray L. Beller, 805 Porter avenue, Rodney Beller and Alfred Beller, both of Battle Creek; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Frank-Sievers Undertaking Company establishment.
