After a brief illness Rosina (Chavez) Pacheco, 85, returned to Heaven and is re-united with her husband, SGM(retired US Army) Daniel A. Pacheco. Rosina was born in Chimayo, NM, in 1935, the daughter of Victoria (Trujillo) and Manuel Chavez (who are both buried in the courtyard of the "El Santuario" church).

She was afflicted by spinal meningitis at the age of 11 and was left totally deaf for the rest of her life.

Once all her children were out of the nest she enrolled in classes enabling her to go out into the workforce and eventually retired from working for the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO.

Her main residence was in Colorado Springs, but she could be often found staying at her Chimayo house.

She and her husband travelled extensively and lived in 17 different locations throughout their lives (Germany, France, Puerto Rico and numerous in-country locations).

She was a strong and courageous mother, loved by all and will be sorely missed!

She is survived by five children, 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
