Sophia Elizabeth Sanders, 83, formerly of Florence, died at the Arkhaven Rest Home in Warrensburg. She was born in Morgan county on June 30, 1895, daughter of late Henry and Augusta Meier Kanenbley.
She was married to Walker H. Sanders at Florence on Dec. 16, 1917 and he preceded her in death in April of 1969. Survivors include a son, Charles H. Sanders and three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Nunn, Mrs. Mara Lou Yeckl and Mrs. Ellen Buffington. - Sedalia Democrat - November 12, 1978 pg.4
