Charley Lamb, 85, of Old State Road, Mt. Vernon, KY has been lovingly reunited with his parents, his beloved wife, Lois (Mason) Lamb, of 57 years, and their infant son after peacefully passing on November 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.

Charley was born on September 30, 1935 to the late Lafey Scott and Ida Mae (Kidwell) Lamb. He married Lois (Mason) Lamb on June 26, 1963.

Charley was a lifelong resident of Rockcastle County Kentucky. He was a child of God and a member of Roundstone Baptist Church. Charley served his country in the United States Army and was also a former employee of the Rockcastle County Road Department. He was a farmer, farmhand, handyman, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a true friend. Charley was a very honest, hardworking man who will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: Betty Jean Lamb Brinegar of Mt. Vernon, KY, Ronnie Jay (Susan) Lamb of Mt. Vernon, KY, Donnie Ray Lamb of Mt. Vernon, KY, Sheila Lynn Lamb Alexander (Herbert Shanks) of Richmond, KY, and Charles Steven (Snake) (Fannie) Lamb of Mt. Vernon, KY; eight grandchildren: Larry Travis (Jennifer) Smith of Richmond, KY, Sgt. Alicia Nicole Lamb of Georgetown, KY, Latoya Lamb (Michael Collins) of Mt. Vernon, KY, Brandon (Stephanie) Lamb of Berea, KY, Danielle Alexander of Richmond, KY, Deanna Alexander of Richmond, KY, Savannah Lamb of Mt. Vernon, KY, Steven Lamb of Mt. Vernon, KY; eight great-grandchildren: Jordan, MJ, Kaliee, Kayden, Kendall, Landon, Branson, and Oaklee; his siblings: JT Lamb of Berea, KY, Dora Faye Lamb Smith of Mt. Vernon, KY, Wilma Jean Lamb Moody of Mt. Vernon, KY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and loving friends also survives whom he loved dearly.

Charley was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lois Mason Lamb, and infant son: Phillip Joe, his parents: Lafey Scott, and Ida Mae (Kidwell) Lamb, a brother: Albert Forester Lamb; sisters: Julia Melissa Lamb and Elvena Lamb Powers, and dear friend Bruce Fraley, all with whom he will be reunited.

His final resting place will be in the Wynn Cemetery, Conway, KY with a graveside service Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:30 am with Jamie Hamilton officiating. Casket bearers will be his sons: Donnie, Snake, and Ronnie; grandson: Steven Lamb, nephew: Lafey Smith and family friend: Jeff Carpenter. Honorary casket bearers: JT Lamb, Scott Lamb, Vester Maples, Bruce Fraley Jr., Ernie Eugene Mason.
