Colrain Native is Struck in Schenectady, N.Y. Street
Edwin A. Harris, a native of Colrain, was instantly killed Tuesday evening when struck by an automobile as he was crossing the street in Schenectady, N.Y., where he resided. The body was brought to Johnson’s funeral home where the services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Rev. Harold S. Hannum, pastor of the Congregational church, will officiate and burial will be in the West Branch cemetery in Colrain.
Survivors are two sisters, Miss Grace Harris of Shelburne Falls and Mrs. Bertha Dame of Greenfield and two brothers, William of Hatfield and James of Northampton.
Born in Colrain, his parents were the late Charles and Emma Harris and he lived there when a young man. He had been a resident of Schenectady for many years.
