Darlene Elnora Miller Earp was born March 4, 1933 in Chandler to Lewis and Verona Miller. She passed from this life and went to be with her Lord November 12, 2020 at her home at the age of 87.

Darlene grew up in the Chandler area where she graduated from Chandler in 1950. She married Leon Earp on February 26, 1953. Leon and Darlene were together for 57 years before his passing in 2010. They raised four children on the family dairy operation south of Chandler until 1994. She then raised beef cattle and resided there for the remaining years of her life.

Darlene loved being around her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She cooked beans and cornbread for anyone who came by on Saturdays. She was a very humble person who always thought of others and showed that in her acts of kindness. She loved to read, listen to music and travel. She was a very active member of Sparks Baptist Church where she was treasurer for the last two years. Darlene was loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Verona Miller; husband, Leon Earp; grandson, Billy Earp; in-laws, O. A. and Gladys Earp; brother, Delroy Miller; sister-in-law, Wanda Miller.

Survivors include her sons, Dean Earp and wife Becky, Carroll Earp and wife Annette, Gary Earp and wife Susy all of Chandler; daughter, Barbara Sechrist and husband Craig of Apache; sister, Lorene Richardson and husband Flavious of Hobart; brother, Lewis Miller and wife Carol of Chandler; (7) grandchildren, Wyatt Earp of Chandler, Carrie and Chris Scribner of Chandler, Shane and Jaclyn Earp of Chandler, Jami Earp of Meeker, Cody and Crystal Earp of Meeker, Tye Sechrist of Apache, Kassie and Cameron Manley of Carnegie; (10) great-grandchildren along with many other family and friends.

A graveside funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler with Reverend Charles Robinson officiating. Donations can be made in Darlene's honor to the Sparks First Baptist Church, PO Box 2, Sparks, OK 74869. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
