Billy graduated from Tuttle High School and went on to study at Central State University.
He met the love of his life and later married Joan H. Barton in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They enjoyed many years together before Joan’s passing in 2007.
During Billy and Joan’s life, he joined the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He proudly served his country for many years and ended up retiring from the service. He later went on to work in civil services at Tinker Air Force Base. Billy had many hobbies which included bowling, painting and country dancing. Billy Barton was an amazing man who had silver in his hair and gold in his heart.
Billy is survived by his daughter Sharon and her husband Tom Fisher, son Keith Barton, grandchildren Dusti, Sommer, Zachary, Angela, Brad, Josh, Cory, Billy III, Joshuah, Brittanie, Bridgett and Jacob, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Joan H. Barton, two sons Billy C. Barton II and Terry Lynn and both of his parents.
Graveside service will be Friday, November 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Sunny Lane Cemetery,
4000 S.E. 29th St., Del City, Oklahoma under the direction of Ford Funeral Service, Midwest City, Oklahoma.
