Last rites held at New Hope for Mr. Adams
Funeral services for William Clifford Adams, 71, were held Friday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at the New Hope Methodist Church.
Revs. Robert Ellis and Kermit McGregor officiated, with burial in the church cemetery. Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Adams died May 7 at Tyler Holmes Hospital. He was a member of the New Hope Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eva Hawkins Adams, Winona: four sons, Bernice Ladell Adams and Fred Darnell Adams, both of Greenville, and Kenneth Ray Adams and David Glenn Adams, both of Winona;
Also, two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Frances Jones and Miss Shearon Kay Adams, both of Winona; four brothers, Scott Adams and Marion Adams, both of Winona; Oscar Adams, Schlater and Herman Adams, Mishett, Texas.
Two sisters, Mrs. Hester Hawkins, Winona and Mrs. Bessie Alexander, Quitman, Louisiana and seven grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Murl Hawkins, Bobby Adams, Wayne Adams, Wilburn Hawkins, Junior Hawkins and Earnest Hawkins.
