Born on October 5, 1941 in Mifflintown, Juniata Co., she is the daughter of the late Leroy and Irene (Friese) Fasick.
She is survived by: her children, two sons, Michael Leister and his wife Tami of Thompsontown and Douglas Paden and his companion Ray of Harrisburg; two daughters, Sally Brown of Mifflin and Billie Jo Waugh and her husband Keith of Illnois; son in law; Mike Brown of Mifflintown; two sisters, Dorothy Allwein and her husband Dale of Mechanicsburg and Sandra Lebkicher of Port Royal; one brother, Mart Fasick and his wife Wilma of Cocolamus; five grandchildren, Seth Leister and his wife Brittany, Tanner Brown and his wife Elizabeth, Hunter Brown, Tarren Waugh, and Jensen Waugh; and three great grandchildren, Brantley Leister, Bristol Leister, and Rhemi Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: three sisters, Beverly Hockenberry, Janet Hockenberry, and Shirley Zimmerman and one brother in law, Erk Hockenberry.
Ms. Paden was a 1959 graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown and was employed and retired as a USDA Meat Inspector at Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc. in Mifflintown and various local butcher shops after 28 years of service. She also worked for the Service Mart in Mifflin and managed the American Legion Post 298 in Mifflintown.
In earlier life, she attended the Port Royal Lutheran Church.
Jane was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 298 and a life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 5863 both of Mifflintown; and a member of the Millerstown Moose Lodge 925.
She loved taking care of her flower beds and spending time with her grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her friends at the beach.
Public Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 16, 2020 at the Westminster Presbyterian Cemetery, Mifflintown with Pastor Jennifer Heikes officiating.
