Helen Felice Mendelsohn, 82, of Overland Park, KS, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2004, at St. Joseph Health Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 8, at The Louis Memorial Chapel. Burial at Kehilath Israel Blue Ridge Cemetery. Kindly omit flowers, family suggests contributions to Kehilath Israel Synagogue Youth Fund. Mrs. Mendelsohn had been office manager for Mendelsohn Sales and a bookkeeper for Kehilath Israel Synagogue. She was a member of Kehilath Israel Synagogue, where she was a life member of its Sisterhood, a buyer for the gift shop, kindergarten teacher, SYO advisor and drama director, a member of the Marcella Rodin Club, where she had been club and auxiliary president, and was a Girl Scout leader. Mrs. Mendelsohn was a lifelong area resident. She is survived by her husband, Elic Mendelsohn of the home; daughter, Judith Lanes, Overland Park, KS; sons, Michael of Kansas City, MO, and Robert of Sydney, Australia; seven grandchildren; and seven greatgrandchildren.
