Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 at the Midway Full Gospel Church. Interment will follow at Green hill Memorial Gardens [Sapulpa, Oklahoma] in the Garden of Devotion. The Rev. Garnet M. Cole will officiate. The family has entrusted the care of the services to the directors of Green Hill Funeral Home.

Mr. Turner, 74, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2003 at his home. He was born May 22, 1928 in Elm Creek, Neb. to Earl James and Sara Elizabeth Turner.

On Aug. 30, 1958 he married Helen Wolfe, and enjoyed 45 years of marriage to his best and closest friend until her death on Jan. 9, 2002.

Mr. Turner was a corporal in the US Army, and served in the Korean War. He retired from Oklahoma Tank Lines after many years of devoted service, and was known as a very kind and loving husband, dad, granddad and friend. He never met a stranger, and loved to sit and visit.

He is preceded in death by his parents,; his wife, Helen; his son, Danny Turner; a sister, Esther Turner; and two brothers, Harding Turner and Norven Turner.

Mr. Turner is survived by his children, Patricia Russell and Charles Turner; four brothers: Leon Turner, Bob Turner, Charles Turner, and George Turner; two sisters, Rita Scarboraugh and Daphne Dazzo; five grandchildren: Christina, Jaymes, Bryan, Matt and Cassie Turner; and a host of friends.
