Hinshaw, Harold N., 77, of Miami, Okla., formerly of Wichita, died Friday, Aug. 4, 2000. Service 10 a.m. today, The Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami, Okla.; service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rose Hill (Kan.) Friends Church; burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hinshaw was born April 10, 1923 in Rose Hill, to Verlin Chauncy and Florence Mae (McLaughlin) Hinshaw. He had lived in Wichita from 1955-80, when he moved to Miami, Okla.
He was a mail carrier for the Postal Service in Wichita for 23 years until his retirement in May of 1979.
He was a member of the Miami Friends Church.
He married Dorothy Mae Sherwood on Aug. 5, 1947.
Survivors: wife, Dorothy; sons, Darryl, Dennis both of Wichita; daughters, Carolyn Hinshaw of Wichita, Dianne Kirkpatrick of Estacada, Ore., Leanne Anderson of Emporia, Phyllis Surratte of Front Royal, Va.; several grandchi ldren and great-grandchildren.
