HENRIETTA - Cratus Floyd Patterson, 81, of Petrolia, Texas passed away Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007 in Wichita Falls.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Petrolia, with Rev. Al Easterling, pastor officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Petrolia Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

Mr. Patterson was born June 13, 1926 in Petrolia, to Murrell and Vera Ursle (Stephenson) Patterson. He married Margie Armstrong Jan. 5, 1952, in Clay County, TX. He entered the U.S. Marine Corps May 15, 1944 and served through Aug. 9, 1946, during WWII. He fought with the 1st Marine Division in the South Pacific. He was a member of JASCO during the invasion of Okinawa and the occupation of mainland China. He again served with the U.S. Marine Corps 4th Artillery King Battery from December, 1950 through December, 1951 in Korea . He was also employed at P.P.G Industries in maintenance. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Petrolia and the Petrolia Masonic Lodge for 57 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Margie Patterson August 15, 2007; and sister, Marjorie McGregor July 10, 2004.

Survivors include: his sons, Jack Patterson and wife Elaine of Wichita Falls, and Robert Patterson and wife Diafletta of Dean, Texas; sister, Betty Stover and husband Ronald of Petrolia; 3 grandchildren: Bryan Patterson and wife Mysti, Eric Patterson, and Russell Patterson; and 1 great-granddaughter Payton Patterson.

Visitation will be at the Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 p.m.
