Clara was the daughter of John Mitchell and Ellen (Miller) Mitchell. She married Albert C. Simms Jun 12, 1860. They had 12 children. Albert died on Oct 21, 1883. Clara continued to live in Baltimore until her marriage to Harry/Henry Anderson in 1891. After her marriage to Harry Anderson they moved to Camden, New Jersey along with her two youngest daughters, Clara and Beulah. She is buried in an unmarked grave at Bethel Cemetery.
