In 1920 she, her parents, and six siblings--four half and two full--lived on a farm they were renting in Justice Precinct 3, Jones County, TX. Her maternal grandmother lived next door.

In 1930 she, her parents, and six siblings--two half and four full--lived on a farm they were renting on the Lubbock and Ropesville Road in Justice Precinct 8, Lubbock County, TX. They did not have a radio. Her half-brother Walter and his wife and an 84-year-old uncle, Edd Donalson, lived next door.

In 1940 she and her husband and their two children lived in a house they owned near 2120 Graham Street in Abilene, TX. (Theirs and nine other houses were listed as being on trails, street unknown.) Their home was valued at $50. He worked as a laborer on water main construction, with an income in 1939 of $450 for 52 weeks of work.

Wilma went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 18, 2007, and was reunited with loving members of her family who have gone on before her.

Born in Hawley, Wilma Carlene Hollowell was the daughter of the late I. A. and Cora (Jordan) Pruitt. Wilma married Donald Hollowell October 5, 1962 in Abilene. She had worked at U.S. Brass and was a member of North Park Assembly of God. She loved cooking and family.

Wilma was predeceased by a son, William Flanagan, and a daughter, Evelyn Dye.

Survivors include her husband, Donald of the home; two daughters, Ann Martinez and Rosemary King, both of Abilene; two brothers, J. Lee and Rayburn Pruitt, also of Abilene; six grandchildren, Debra Swim, Lavender Lexes, Jimmy Walker, Vicki Rodriquez, Randy Martinez, and David Dye; 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Richard Swim, Weston Swim, Tommy Price, Daniel Rodriquez, Randy Martinez, and Kenneth Lexes.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at North Park Assembly of God, 1918 Jameson, with Reverend Sam Earp officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory. Visitation is 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
