Evelyn was born in Sweetwater, Texas on January 30, 1930. She married Charlie Joe Weaver on January 24, 1947. Evelyn and Charlie remained married for 68 years until his death in 2015.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Addis and Fannie Crockett, an older sister, Esletta, beloved younger brother, Buck and grandson, Raymond.

She prayed hard for children and finally had two. Joe Charlie was born in 1955 and Kay in 1957. She helped raise her grandson, Jason, going out with him to collect aluminum cans so he could buy a bike. Over the years she fed a multitude of friends and family. She helped support her family as a seamstress. On her birthdays she said she had everything she needed and would buy gifts for others.

Although her final years were full of constant pain, blindness and deafness, we know she is free of suffering now.
