He was born December 15, 1930 in Galesburg and was a former resident of Moline. He was a 1948 graduate ofGalesburg High School and also a graduate of the University of Illinois. He received his Masters Degree at Western Illinois University and had been a Professor of Economics and Business Law at Blackhawk College in Moline.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane of Galesburg; three children, Tara and Kara White, both of California and Van (Susan) White of Galesburg; two sisters,Sandra (Stephen) Olsen and Sharon (Gale) Sherman; and his mother, Berniece Johnson of Yates City, IL.
