Elaine McRae, age 63, passed away November 5, 2020. She was a Registered Nurse for over 20 years. Elaine worked as a cardiac nurse at Gulfport Memorial Hospital and volunteered to be moved into the COVID-19 unit. Because of this, she made the ultimate sacrifice. She was an honest-to-God Hero, and fiercely loved her family. To say she will be missed is a great understatement. We pray our hearts will mend from this tragic, inconceivable loss. She was a humble servant, loving mother, grandma, sister, daughter and friend.

She is preceded in death by her father, A.D. McRae; siblings, Maureen Mirabella and Michael Ray McRae; niece, Melissa Davis and nephew, Michael McRae.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Brandon (Samantha) Mizell, Allyson (Michael) Nulta, Monica Erwin and Zachary Erwin; grandchildren, Sara Mizell, Haley Mizell and Brandon Mizell; mother, Alice McRae; siblings, Charlene (Fig) Railey, Roy (Amanda) McRae, Raymond (Felecia) McRae and Marcie Rogers; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The Graveside Service for Elaine McRae will be Friday, November, 13, 2020 beginning at 11:00 AM in New Antioch cemetery with Bro. Heath Havard and Bro. Eddie Pitts officiating.

“I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20)

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” (John 15:13)
