1978 - 2016

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander C.E. Aylett, son, husband and father on July 23, 2016. Cancer put an end to Alex's great adventure, but he put up a heroic fight. He will be sadly missed by his wife Luna, his daughters Inara and Aurora, his father Richard and his wife Claire, and his two brothers Chris and Andrew. Alex made a stupendous success of the time he had and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Special thanks to his medical team, and in particular to Drs. Tamilia, Lemieux and Baillargeon and nurse Kim Lee. A memorial service will be held to honour and celebrate his life on Sunday, July 31 at Alfred Dallaire Memoria, 4231 Boul St-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2W 1Z4. The family will receive guests starting at 1 p.m., with a service starting at 2 p.m. If attending, please come by public transport or bike. A fund in his name will be created to further his work in environmental studies and sustainable cities. If you would like to add to this fund please contact the family.
