Ellen graduated from Marysville High School in 1949 and attended Everett Junior College. She worked at the Everett Medical/Dental Building, the University of Washington Dental School, and Seattle Children's Hospital.
She moved to Florida where she lived for 10 years, worked in the Journalism Department at the University of Florida and was an avid Gator fan. Upon moving back to Washington she retired from JCPenney.
Ellen enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, gardening, playing bridge, and loved to watch football and hockey games. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and adored her grandchildren.
Ellen was married to Robert Bonnell for 15 years and is survived by her three children, Janice, Ted, and Stanton Bonnell; and six grandchildren, Colby Olson (Tracey), Rebecca, Jennifer, Aaron, Brooke, and Katie Bonnell.
