Born Aug. 1, 1938, in Saltillo, she was a daughter of the late Blair and Elma (Nonemaker) Kough. She was united in marriage to Lewis Lee Wible June 11, 1960. Mr. Wible preceded her in death Sept. 11, 2018.
She is survived by three children, Keith Wible and wife Wendy of Jessup, Maryland, Kent Wible and wife Cami of State College and Kelly Wible Hampton and husband Ronnie of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Brooke Hamberger, Amy Garlington, Emily Wible, Casey Wible, Colin Wible, Ariana Hampton and Gabriella Hampton.
Two sisters, Joan Barth of Mechanicsburg and Carol Davis of Shippensburg, also survive.
One brother, Edgar “Bub” Kough, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wible was a member of the Cherry Grove Church of God, Three Springs.
At one time she was active in the PTA.
She was a 1960 graduate of Shippensburg University.
She was employed as a teacher in the Southern Huntingdon County School District, mostly at Spring Farms Elementary School.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Cherry Grove Cemetery, Three Springs, R.R.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Keith Wible, 8051 Andiron Lane, Jessup, MD 20794 to apply to the future Jean K. Wible Scholarship Fund.
