Agnes L. Potts, born May 29, 1911, East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elmer and Winona (Hudnell) Potts. Formerly of Summit Drive in Calcutta, Ohio, Agnes lived most of her life in this area, moving to Parma, Ohio in February 2005. She was a waitress at the Owl's Club for many years and was a member of the Jolly Sixties. Agnes married Alvin Smith and had three sons, Arthur, Charles and Robert. Her son, Charles Smith, preceded her in death. Agnes married Beryl Bess and had son, Larry M Bess and daughter, Cheryl Ann Bess. Agnes died on December 13, 2005 at Pleasant View Care Center in Parma, Ohio after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements were held by the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes. Burial was held at the Yellow Creek Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio.
