Dau. of John & Sarah Root Abbe. Wife of Zeno Terry. Aged 88 yrs, 8 mos. Mother of 10 children including 3 sets of twins.

Abbe-Abbey Genealogy, In Memory of John Abbe and His descendants page 107 states: 184. TABITHA (5) ABBE, daughter of John (4) , jr., and Sarah (Root) Abbe, born in Enfield, Conn., June 26, 1757; died February 20, 1846.
Married in Enfield, August 20 (or 13), 1778, ZENO TERRY, born in Enfield, August 20, 1755; died in Sangerfield, N. Y., January 7, 1838. He was son of Isaac and Margaret (Downing) Terry. He enlisted on a Sunday in April, 1775, while at church in Enfield. The minister read a paper calling for volunteers to repair to Boston and with forty others he marched the same day to Roxbury under Hezekiah Parsons as leader, remaining there three months. The following December he volunteered for one month and conveyed a load of soldiers with his father's team from Enfield to Albany. In the spring of 1776, he enlisted for six months under Captain Harmon in Colonel Mott's regiment, going to Whitehall, N. Y., then to Ticonderoga where he joined his regiment, was taken sick and discharged at the hospital at Fort George. March, 1777, he enlisted for a year with Captain David Parsons but after six weeks obtained a substitute. In the summer of 1779 he served six months as teamster under Captain Jonathan Bush and was at Boston, Springfield, Fishkill and opposite West Point. After the war he lived five years in Suffield, removed in 1805 to Sangerfield, where, with the exception of two years at Byron, N. Y., he spent the remainder of his life as a farmer.
