Bobbie Jean DeArman Minyard (85) of Birmingham, Alabama passed away November 4, 2020 .

She was preceded by her husband Curtis L. Minyard; parents, John and Laura DeArman; her brothers John and Louis; and sisters Jewel, Charlotte, and Mary.

Bobbie Jean was the youngest of 6 children. She was married to Curt for 54 years and resided in the Forestdale and Trussville area of Birmingham. She was known for her faith in Jesus Christ and the love of her family. She was a graduate of Ensley High School and spent most of her work life in the financial area. Her love of her Savior defined her life and she lived as a light of His love. Family was her greatest blessing and often meant Sunday dinners featuring her famous fried chicken, holidays with wonderful food and a good cup of coffee, and hunting for plastic Easter eggs filled with cash for the grandkids (equally divided at the end). Her grandchildren were her light and she always supported them in everything they did. She loved reading and cross-stitching which resulted in a cherished quilt for each of her children and grandchildren. Her collection of Angels not only filled her home but surrounded her on Wednesday and took her home to her Lord and Savior.
