Troyse served in the Navy for three years. After leaving the military he completed nursing school and worked for over 30 years in the Emergency Room at East Texas Medical Center as both an LVN and an RN. In 1974, Troyse met the love of his life, Angela Cormier, they were married September 24, 1976. Together they raised two children, Leia and Lance. Troyse loved fishing, hunting, gardening, astronomy, and "old" time country music. He also loved Louis L'Amour books.
Everyone loved him for his quick wit and friendliness. Troyse will be fondly remembered by many for his gentle nature and his Christian example. He was a member of Friendly Baptist church for 18 years and enjoyed working in the Welcome Center.
Troyse was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, C. H., Hiram Lewis, Harold Dwaine, and Jerrell Jackson, and two sisters, Wanda June and Deloris Jane. He is survived by his wife, Angela, daughter, Leia and granddaughter, Sybil, son, Lance and grandson, Cayden and granddaughter Lily, and sister, Margrett Hatcher.
Graveside Services will be at 2:30 pm, Monday, Nov 9, 2020 at Tyler Memorial Park under the care of Burks-Walker-Tippit Funeral Home.
