V.T. WALLACE PASSES AWAY; RITES FRIDAY

BODY TO BE BROUGHT TO FREDERICK FOR LAST RITES

V. T. Wallace, 50, resident of Frederick for many years and more recently of Vinita, passed away in the Vinita Hospital early Wednesday after an illness that originated in a heart attack suffered last Friday.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Cenia Anderson Wallace, of the home address; one daughter, Miss Virginia Kotte, graduate student at the University of Oklahoma, Norman; one step-daughter, Sandra C. Merritt of the home; a sister Mrs. S.F Greenfield, Frederick and a cousin, Mrs. Juanita Godard Gibson, Frederick.

S.F. Greenfield and John Anderson, the latter a brother of Mrs. Wallace, departed for Vinita Wednesday at noon and will return with the body to Frederick. Funeral services will be held in Frederick Friday morning, with the hour and location to be announced later.

As a young man Wallace entered the field of telegraphy, holding several positions in that field prior to an association as a partner in the White House Market in Frederick. He spent several years as a driver for the Frederick Fire Department, a position which he resigned to go to Vinita to reenter the field of telegraphy as an employee of the Katy Railroad.

Wallace had a host of friends in Frederick and Tillman County, all of whom will be saddened to learn of his passing

I took the picture of V.T. and of their double headstone.

V. T. was my Step-Dad.
